Gaylene Delaney

I am an end-of-life doula based in Tauranga, offering compassionate, mindful support to individuals and families during the final stages of life. My work is grounded in respect for the natural process of living and dying, and in the belief that death can be approached with dignity, meaning, and care.

I bring a calm, intuitive presence and work alongside people and their loved ones to honour what matters most to them. I believe you are the expert in your own life and death, and my role is to support, guide, and advocate for your wishes.

I offer emotional and spiritual support through deep listening, reflection, and gentle conversation, as well as practical assistance with advance care planning, funeral planning, and navigating the healthcare system. Mindfulness and present-moment awareness underpin my approach, helping people find peace and connection.

I also provide respite care, bedside vigils, and bereavement support. My aim is to help people feel informed, supported, and empowered to experience a death that is as gentle and meaningful as possible.
