Some questions you might ask a Doula
  • What brings you to this work?

  • What training or experience do you have?

  • How do you charge?

  • What if I need you and you’re not available?... i.e. do you have a supportnetwork/backup?

  • Which parts of my journey are you able to assist me with?  i.e. what do you do, or not do?

  • What do you feel is your core competency?

Incorporated in 2024, End of Life Doula Alliance Aotearoa (ELDAA) is the only professional body for End of Life Doulas in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Here you will find a professional End of Life Doula, in your region, or hopefully, nearby.

Doulas can also sometimes work remotely, depending on your needs.

ELDAA encourages you to engage with your Doula and do your own
due diligence, in order to find the right fit for your needs.
We recommend that you interview more than one Doula if possible.  It is vital to connect with the right person.

If you are dissatisfied with your Doula service, or have any issues or complaints, please contact us by phone or email as soon as possible.
