I understand it can be an overwhelming and complex time and my goal is to accompany my clients to navigate the journey and offer a steady and continuous hand and heart, enabling my clients to have capacity, control, and choice. I believe knowledge is empowerment and I am passionate about enlightening my clients about the options available to them so they can feel well cared for and supported. Whether it’s exploring treatment choices, understanding palliative care, or making informed decisions about end of life, vigil, death, after body care and funeral/ceremony options, I can be there for the whole continuum, or for the parts of the journey where extra support would be helpful.
My wish is my clients can find comfort and peace in a transparent and nurturing environment knowing things are in order, and they are well supported, cared for and safe. I approach this journey with a listening ear, attention to detail, a strong foundation in practical organisation/ management and an open heart.
I have completed my primary training through Preparing the Way and the Natural Death Care Centre Australia, and I enjoy volunteering at Nurse Maude Hospice and NODA. My continuing education provides a huge source of inspiration for me as I’m constantly learning on a quest to find out different and beneficial ways to support my clients.
As a mother, business owner, daughter, friend, volunteer, life is brimming but being a doula truly fills my heart space and is a privilege and an honour.
