I came to this work through a deep belief that death belongs to us.

Not to institutions. Not to industry. To the people who loved the person who died - and to the person themselves, while they're still here to shape what's coming.

I'm based on the Matakana Coast and serve families across the Rodney and Kaipara regions - where life moves at the pace of tides and seasons. That unhurried rhythm is something I carry into every home I enter.

My passion is funeral sovereignty - death that is accessible, personal, and held by the people who matter most. And alongside that, a gentler way of dying itself. More supported. More honest. Less afraid.

Because when we stop outsourcing death and start tending to it ourselves - the way we once did, the way many cultures still do - something shifts. Fear softens. Connection deepens. And what could have felt like loss becomes something closer to sacred.

Imagine approaching death the way we welcome a new baby. With love, with preparation, with people gathered close.

That's what I'm here to help you build.

As your end-of-life doula, I can help you to:

  • Lovingly prepare yourself and your loved ones for your end-of-life time, your death, and even beyond.

  • Build a nest that will protect and hold you in your dying - so you feel safe, seen, loved and well supported.

  • Maintain privacy for you and your loved ones throughout tender times.

  • Access the services and options that best fit your values, needs and wishes.

  • Guide your family through a home vigil or family-led funeral - reclaiming the sacred act of caring for your own, in your own way, on your own terms.

  • Support your loved ones with compassionate care and guidance throughout your entire end-of-life journey.

If something here speaks to you, I'd love to hear from you.
